Low-voltage is the catch-all for everything in a commercial building that isn't line voltage: alarms, intercoms, paging, nurse call, and the wiring underneath all of it. Splitting that across four contractors is how buildings end up with systems that each work alone and none of which work together.

Roughly half is retrofit work in buildings people are still using, which is a different skill from wiring an empty shell.
Because we self-perform instead of subbing it out, there's no argument about whose device is at fault when the intercom stops releasing the door. We plan device placement, pathways and head-end for a code-compliant result, then keep servicing it. Preventative maintenance is unglamorous and it's the reason these systems are still working in year six.
